Serge Cormier, working hard for you in Acadie–Bathurst
Serge Cormier was elected as the Member of Parliament for Acadie—Bathurst in 2015, and is running for re-election to continue growing our economy and offering real help to our families. The son of an inshore fisher, Serge Cormier is a lifelong resident of Acadie—Bathurst and knows the riding’s strengths and issues well. Passionate about politics, a unifying force, and an exceptional community organizer, Serge will be a staunch defender of the interests of all Acadie–Bathurst residents and a long-awaited catalyst for change and renewal.
Serge began his career by acquiring a small company to finance his business administration studies. Later appointed Chief of Staff for various Government of New Brunswick departments, he organized and participated in several diplomatic missions at home and abroad, and worked on high-priority local economic issues. Serge continued as a policy analyst in the Office of the Official Opposition and as an assistant to former Premier Brian Gallant, responsible for Northern New Brunswick.
Serge was a board member of the Caraquet Chamber of Commerce and organized several minor and adult hockey tournaments, and was involved with le Club de golf Pokemouche for many years.
Serge and his two daughters live in the riding.
